As the weather changes, so do our tastes. In Spring, it seems from the moment the weather warms, I develop a Pavlovian taste for rose and it doesn't subside until the weather changes again. So as we reach the end of another season of the pink wine, I offer a tribute to all the makers of wonderful roses I've enjoyed this summer, most notably, Cline Rose of Mouvedre, Corte Gardoni Rose of Bardolino, Etude Rose of Pinot Noir, Chateau Calissanne Rose and pictured above with Fellasky's Farm fresh picked strawberries, Alexander Valley Vineyard's Rose of Sangiovese. Au revoir mon petit rose!
